Unlicensed, unmarked, unregulated cab service.
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
Next you’re going to tell me that AirBnB and VRBO have some unscrupulous tax-dodgers and law-shirkers.

Yeah but that guy was dealing out sweet sweet vigilante justice since it would have taken forever for CPD to get off their fat asses and respond to shots fired. I don’t know why the media is making a big deal out of the fact that he’s an Uber driver, like it has any sort of relation to what happened

I’d have not told you any of that, but I might have told you that bicycles in San Francisco are anarchist in their behavior, especially in the Market District at lunchtime,
und Herr Über
dished out a bowl of poetic justice for the rest of us.
San Francisco is supposed to be liberal and socially just, but in fact, they’re a bunch of tattle tales and NIMBY people. And the drivers are just plain mean.
Now, having said all of that, I should state for the record that I commute my bicycle to work each day — not in San Francisco — and the best I can do is hope that nobody runs me over. But I don’t go around swearing at any drivers or smacking their mirrors, either.
Here’s an amusing aside: In San Francisco, the city bus drivers — Muni — are penalized if they break a mirror. So when they offend a bike messenger, the cyclists are known to ride up alongside the bus and use their U-locks to break the mirror and ride away.

Pissing someone off in a car is a capital offense? Do you ram/mow people down when they cut you off in traffic too? Is EVERY cyclist in SF like this? If not what percent? What study are you citing for your data?

Yeah, not surprising. And let’s face it—as far as anarchists and other
ultras
go—the far left and far right are basically the same, basically both fascist.
There’s something so self-empowered and smug about a “I ride a bicycle, therefore,
cool
” sort of person.
How is it possible for two people to be in the wrong here? I’m going to blame the ratrace city, the corrupting power of the ever upwardly-driven free market, and all the stress it places on all of us, including the laid-out cyclist and the unfortunate wannabe cabbie now dressed in county orange.

Dude: I didn’t say
Herr Über
was justified. I just said there are a lot of jerk bicyclists in San Francisco, especially downtown at lunchtime. But bicyclists get their revenge at times as well.

County orange or hospital white? I choose neither, if I am in enough control to keep my cool.
Ultras
. There are things I like about San Francisco but as a whole, I wouldn’t want to live there or work there.

Yes, I agree: Uber is coincidental.
